Some things change. Some things don’t.

When Seaboard was founded, a barrel of oil was around $3, OPEC didn’t yet exist and the nation’s natural gas pipeline network was still in its infancy. A lot has changed. But one thing that hasn’t changed is Seaboard’s commitment to delivering superior service.

The company history began more than sixty years ago as The Shaffer Company of California. It took the Seaboard name in 1974 when it began development of the wellhead and electric feed-thru connector product lines from its new headquarters in Houston, Texas. Since then, Seaboard has strengthened its reputation for supporting and servicing its clients around the world. In 2007 Seaboard acquired Wellhead, Inc. headquartered in Bakersfield, California to further strengthen its product portfolio and position in the global marketplace.

Today, Seaboard products are in use in almost every major oil and gas region around the world. The company has it's major manufacturing facilities and sixteen sales and services locations in the United States and is represented on seventeen countries from South America to Singapore—all built upon a strong legacy of service from both its people and products.
